SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co., Ltd., established in 2002, is a major Sino-foreign joint venture automotive company. It originated from Liuzhou Wuling Motors Co., Ltd., founded in 1958. Focused on micro and mini car manufacturing, the company has a modern production capacity of 180,000 vehicles annually. In 2001, it produced and sold over 120,000 vehicles, exporting to 22 countries and regions. Recognized for its consumer satisfaction, it received titles such as "Advanced Enterprise in Safeguarding Consumers' Legitimate Rights and Interests" in 2000. In March 2020, its retail sales exceeded 130,000 vehicles, making it the top-selling domestic automotive company that month. Additionally, in the first quarter of 2020, its exports of complete vehicles and knockdown parts totaled over 20,752 units, a year-on-year increase of 254%.
Since its establishment, the company's scale has continued to expand, its production and sales have continued to grow, and it has developed into an international and modern micro and small automobile manufacturing enterprise.
